Gurugram: Rahul Gandhi addressed a public gathering in Gurugram after joining the ongoing Sadbhavana Yatra, where he strongly criticized the Central Government over unemployment, electoral practices, and economic policies.
Speaking to a large crowd, Rahul Gandhi said that India’s youth are being denied employment opportunities while being “pushed towards social media addiction.”
He accused the government of failing to create jobs despite lakhs of students graduating from colleges every year.
Referring to the earlier Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi recalled the slogan “Mohabbat ki Dukaan in Nafrat ka Bazaar” (a shop of love in a market of hatred), stating that the slogan reflected the true sentiment of the country and remains relevant today.
Rahul Gandhi Questions Election Process
The Congress leader also raised concerns over the election process, alleging irregularities in voter lists. He claimed that lakhs of voters’ names are removed while new names are added unfairly. Rahul Gandhi questioned the functioning of the Election Commission and said that people are closely watching these developments.
Attack on Modi Government Over Economic Policies
Without holding back, Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging that the country’s wealth and major assets are being handed over to a few industrialists.
He further accused the government of benefiting businessmen like Gautam Adani and the Ambani family at the cost of ordinary citizens.
According to Rahul Gandhi, unemployment remains the biggest issue in Haryana and across India. He also alleged that government policies are encouraging the sale of Chinese products in India instead of supporting domestic employment generation.
Sadbhavana Yatra Route and Key Leaders Present
The Sadbhavana Yatra began from Khandsa Mandi in Gurugram and concluded near SD School on Khandsa Road. The yatra originally started on October 5 from Narwana and was initiated by Congress leader Brijendra Singh, son of former Union Minister Birender Singh.
Several senior Congress leaders attended the event, including former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, MLAs Mamman Khan and Aftab Ahmed, senior leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, and Haryana Congress President Rao Narender Singh.
Actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar, who previously contested from the Gurugram Lok Sabha seat, also joined the gathering.
The presence of top Congress leaders added political significance to the Sadbhavana Yatra as the party seeks to strengthen its outreach in Haryana ahead of future elections.
