Gurugram: In a bid to ensure swift response and effective grievance redressal during the ongoing monsoon season, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has activated a dedicated 24×7 helpline system for reporting waterlogging and other civic issues across the city.
Citizens can report incidents of waterlogging and other public service issues through the toll-free helpline number 1800-180-1817, landline 0124-4753555, and mobile number 9870201817, all of which will remain operational throughout the monsoon season.
Announcing the initiative, GMDA Chief Executive Officer P.C. Meena said residents can register complaints round the clock through the integrated Complaint Handling System, enabling authorities to respond promptly to monsoon-related emergencies and civic infrastructure concerns.
To make the grievance process more accessible, GMDA has also enabled complaint registration via WhatsApp on 7840001817, where residents can share details of the issue along with photographs. Additionally, citizens can give a missed call on 9873353224, after which a call centre executive will contact them to register the complaint.
Complaints may also be lodged through the GMDA Complaint Handling System portal, email, and the My Gurugram App, providing multiple channels for residents to report issues and track their resolution.
According to GMDA, dedicated call centre executives will be available 24×7 to receive complaints, particularly those related to waterlogging during rainfall. Once registered, complaints will be immediately forwarded to the concerned department and field teams for necessary action.
Apart from waterlogging, the grievance redressal system can also be used to report issues related to water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, roads, sanitation, solid waste management and other civic infrastructure services under the jurisdiction of GMDA, Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) and Municipal Corporation Manesar (MCM).
Meena said the integrated system has been designed to provide citizens with a transparent, accessible and efficient platform for registering grievances. The mechanism also aims to strengthen coordination among various agencies, facilitate real-time complaint monitoring and improve the overall delivery of civic services during the monsoon season.
The authority has urged residents to promptly report civic issues so that corrective measures can be taken without delay, helping ensure smoother public services and better management of monsoon-related challenges across Gurugram.
