Gurugram RERA approves 51 Projects Worth $4 Billion in H1 2026

Gurugram: Reinforcing its position as one of India’s most sought-after real estate destinations, Gurugram has witnessed a strong surge in development activity with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Gurugram, approving 51 real estate projects during the first six months of 2026.

The approved projects represent investments of nearly USD 4 billion, reflecting sustained confidence among developers, investors, and homebuyers in the city’s growth prospects.

According to data released by the Authority, the 51 approved projects comprise a total of 16,727 units, including 15,403 residential units, 1,084 commercial units, and 240 industrial units.

Notably, 11 of these projects alone account for a cumulative investment of approximately Rs 25,000 crore, highlighting the scale and magnitude of ongoing real estate development in the city.

RERA officials stated that Gurugram continues to attract some of the country’s leading real estate developers, many of whom are launching premium and luxury residential projects to cater to rising demand from both end-users and investors. The city’s growing reputation as a hub for branded residences and high-value developments has further strengthened its appeal in the real estate market.

The Authority attributed the strong investment momentum to faster project approvals, robust regulatory oversight, and enhanced compliance mechanisms. These measures have encouraged both domestic and institutional investors to participate actively in the market while ensuring greater transparency and accountability in project execution.

The regulatory body also highlighted a series of institutional reforms introduced in recent years. These include rigorous scrutiny of project-related information submitted by promoters, mandatory site inspections by domain experts, compulsory filing of Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs), and public consultation through mandatory public notices before project registration.

In addition, RERA Gurugram has made significant progress in reducing the backlog of complaints and streamlining dispute resolution processes, providing greater relief and confidence to homebuyers.

The momentum follows a strong performance in 2025, when RERA Gurugram facilitated investments of nearly Rs 87,000 crore across 131 projects, underscoring the city’s emergence as a leading real estate growth engine in India.
