Gurugram: In a major push to strengthen urban traffic management, real estate developer M3M India has inaugurated the first of its planned 31 modern traffic booths across Gurugram. The first facility was unveiled at GIC Manesar by Prateek Gahlot, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), marking the beginning of a city-wide rollout.
The initiative aims to enhance on-ground presence, operational efficiency, and real-time monitoring capabilities of the Gurugram Traffic Police across high-density zones. The upcoming booths will be strategically installed at key junctions including Rajiv Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, and IFFCO Chowk along NH-8.
Speaking at the event, DCP Traffic Prateek Gahlot emphasized the importance of strengthening traffic infrastructure in a rapidly growing city.
“These booths will empower field personnel with better surveillance tools and faster response capabilities, ultimately improving road safety and mobility,” he said.
The inauguration ceremony also featured a plantation drive, highlighting the integration of environmental responsibility with infrastructure development.
According to Robin Mangla, President of M3M India, the project reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Gurugram’s evolving civic needs. He stated that modern infrastructure is essential to match the pace of the city’s rapid urban expansion.
Each booth is equipped with advanced and comfortable facilities including air conditioning, computers, live monitoring systems, seating areas, pantry, washroom, and even rest arrangements with beds. These features are designed to support traffic personnel during long duty hours while enabling efficient monitoring of surrounding areas.
Positioned near commercial hotspots and high-footfall zones, the booths are expected to significantly improve visibility and coordination of traffic police, ensuring smoother traffic flow and quicker incident response across Gurugram.
