“No More Delays!” Rao Inderjit Singh sets Feb 15 deadline for Gurugram–Pataudi–Rewari Highway

Gurugram: Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh has taken a tough stand on the long-delayed construction of the Gurugram–Pataudi–Rewari National Highway and issued strict instructions to officials to accelerate the work. The national highway project, which is running nearly two years behind its scheduled timeline, has caused significant inconvenience to commuters.

During his inspection, Rao Inderjit directed the concerned authorities and the construction agency to ensure that the Pataudi road connecting the KMP Expressway is made operational by February 15, under any circumstances.

He emphasized that delays will no longer be tolerated and accountability must be fixed.
The Union Minister also reviewed the ongoing construction work on the Pataudi–Rewari stretch and the Pataudi Bypass.

He expressed serious concern over the incomplete flyover on the Pataudi Bypass and instructed officials to complete it at the earliest. Rao Inderjit stated that the construction agency must understand the hardship faced by the public due to prolonged delays.

Highlighting traffic challenges on the Delhi–Jaipur National Highway, he pointed out that ongoing construction at Bilaspur Chowk Flyover and Rathiwas Chowk Flyover has resulted in hours-long traffic jams. He added that upcoming projects such as the Manesar Elevated Flyover and the Hero Chowk Flyover near Dharuhera will further increase congestion.

In this scenario, Rao Inderjit said the Gurugram–Pataudi–Rewari National Highway serves as an important alternative route for commuters. He directed officials to improve and repair the service road beyond the KMP Expressway towards Pataudi and Rewari so that light vehicles can travel smoothly.

The Union Minister further instructed that all under-construction flyovers should be completed by March to ease traffic movement. He also sought a detailed report on the flyover being constructed at the Pahari Railway Crossing and directed officials to complete the work without further delay.
