No development work will remain pending in Badshahpur by 2029: Rao Narbir Singh

Gurugram: Haryana’s Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh on Saturday asserted that no development work would remain pending in the Badshahpur Assembly constituency by the year 2029, as the state government is committed to ensuring holistic and time-bound infrastructure growth in the region.

Addressing a foundation stone-laying ceremony at a kabaddi ground on the Badshahpur–Darbari Pur Road in Ward No. 18, the minister inaugurated key development projects worth over Rs 3.5 crore.

These include the construction of a boundary wall and the laying of a sewer line on the RR Colony Road, aimed at strengthening basic civic infrastructure and improving living conditions for residents.

Singh said that the government has adopted a mission-mode approach to complete all pending development works within the next four years. “Our goal is to ensure that every promised project is completed on the ground. Development is not about announcements, but about visible and lasting change,” he said.

Responding to opposition allegations of vote theft, the cabinet minister dismissed the claims as baseless and misleading. He emphasized that India’s democratic system is built on transparency and fairness, where governments are formed solely through the mandate of the people. “Whether it is a panchayat election or Lok Sabha polls, every vote is counted through a transparent process,” he added.

The minister also highlighted growing environmental concerns in Gurugram and across Haryana, calling them one of the most serious challenges facing the state today. While the government is making sustained efforts to control pollution, he stressed that public participation is crucial for meaningful results.

He urged citizens to take responsibility for cleanliness, waste management, expansion of green spaces, and reducing pollution. “A healthy environment is the foundation of a developed India,” Singh said.
