ABDM workshop strengthens push for digital Healthcare Integration in Gurugram

Gurugram : In a significant step towards strengthening digital healthcare infrastructure, a district-level workshop on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was organised at the District Training Centre in Gurugram on Thursday.

The workshop was conducted by the State ABDM team in coordination with Civil Surgeon Gurugram, Dr. Virender Baswana, and witnessed active participation from private healthcare institutions across the district.

Representatives from the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Nursing Home Association, Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA), Dental Association, Ayush Department, National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA), along with directors and medical superintendents of private hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres and healthcare establishments attended the programme.

Dr. Disha from the State ABDM team delivered a detailed presentation on the key components of the mission, including the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), Health Facility Registry (HFR), Health Professionals Registry (HPR), and ABDM-enabled Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS).

Participants were informed about the importance of creating ABHA IDs, which will facilitate the development of longitudinal digital health records and enable seamless sharing of healthcare information.

The workshop highlighted the mandatory registration of healthcare establishments under the Health Facility Registry, covering hospitals, clinics, laboratories, radiology centres and Ayush facilities across both public and private sectors.

Officials informed participants that Gurugram has already achieved 100 per cent HFR registration in the government sector and full HPR registration of government doctors, though greater participation from private healthcare providers remains a priority.

A key focus of the session was the adoption of ABDM-compliant software to ensure secure digital exchange and preservation of patient records. Representatives also interacted directly with the State ABDM team to seek clarifications on implementation-related issues.

On the occasion, Med Harbor Hospital and Raghav Diagnostics were honoured with certificates of appreciation for their notable contribution towards ABDM compliance and digital health integration in Gurugram.
