Haryana to become growth engine of developed India by 2047: CM

Gurugram: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday said the state is set to emerge as the growth engine of a Developed India by 2047, with the government working in a planned and outcome-oriented manner to ensure Haryana’s meaningful contribution to national development.

Addressing a pre-budget consultation workshop under the framework of Haryana Vision–2047, the Chief Minister said the Vision Document has been prepared through extensive consultations, in-depth research, and active participation of experts from various sectors.

The workshop was organised to seek stakeholder inputs ahead of the State Budget for the financial year 2026–27. Representatives from industry, manufacturing, IT, health, and education sectors shared suggestions and expectations for the upcoming budget, focusing on sustainable and inclusive growth.

Industries and Commerce, Environment, Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, and senior government officers were present during the deliberations.

The government is moving beyond conventional development models and focusing on holistic growth. To address future challenges arising from global changes, a Department of Future has been constituted, he added.

He informed that the Haryana Vision Document–2047 is based on six strategic pillars—finance and security; education, skill development and employability; health and nutrition; agriculture, food security and environmental conservation; infrastructure development; and regional development with strengthened local self-governance. The State Budget 2026–27 will be fully aligned with these themes, he added.
