‘Viksit Gurugram Maharally’ draws massive crowd as CM Nayab Saini announces major development projects

Gurugram: A grand and historic “Viksit Gurugram Maharally” was organised at Company Bagh in Gurugram on the occasion of the birthday of local MLA Mukesh Sharma and the visit of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

The massive rally witnessed an overwhelming public turnout, reflecting strong public aspirations for the city’s all-round development.

The Chief Minister, along with other dignitaries present on the dais, extended birthday greetings to MLA Mukesh Sharma and lauded his role in making the rally a landmark event. Addressing the gathering, CM Saini announced a series of major development projects aimed at accelerating Gurugram’s infrastructure, healthcare, transport and civic facilities.

On the demand of the MLA, the Chief Minister announced the construction of a new school building at the Gaushala ground near the Gurugram Police Lines and a modern sports hostel at Nehru Stadium, replacing the old facility. He also announced that 30 Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (UAAMs) would be started soon across the city to strengthen primary healthcare.

Among key healthcare projects, CM Saini assured early commencement of construction of the Gurugram Civil Hospital and expansion of the Wazirabad PHC into a 50-bedded hospital. The Matri Van project in Wazirabad village will also be completed at the earliest.

Other announcements included allocation of one acre of land for Khatu Dham, construction of a city bus terminal in Sector-29, and development of a city bus depot, terminal and allied facilities at the old bus stand site. A library will be built at the Biodiversity Park in Sector-53, along with welcome gates named after Guru Dronacharya and Mata Sheetla.

Civic projects such as a cremation ground at Rajendra Park, community centres at Kamla Nehru Park and Silokhra, and redevelopment of Sadar Bazaar as a smart market were also announced. Additionally, over 100 km of smart roads will be taken up soon.

During the event, CM Saini released the booklet “Ek Saal Bemisaal”, highlighting one year of developmental work by MLA Mukesh Sharma, who also placed several local demands before the Chief Minister.
