Rs 174 crore development boost for Manesar: 36 projects approved across multiple wards

Manesar: In a major push to urban and rural infrastructure, the Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) has approved development works worth ₹174 crore across various wards. The proposals were cleared by the Finance and Contract Committee under the chairpersonship of Mayor Dr Inderjeet Kaur Yadav.

A total of 36 projects have been sanctioned, focusing on improving civic amenities such as water supply, sewerage systems, roads, and community infrastructure. Among the key approvals, a high-tech library will be constructed in Hayatpur village at a cost of ₹7 crore, while a convention hall worth over ₹3 crore will be built in the Panchayat Bhawan of Harsaru village.

In Ward-1, projects include water supply and sewer lines, tiling in streets, and RCC road construction in Gopalpur village costing ₹1.98 crore. Additional works worth ₹1.57 crore have been approved in Harsaru village for sewer and water lines, drains, and RCC roads. A road connecting Garhi to Basai will be developed at a cost of ₹4.73 crore.

Ward-2 will see a multipurpose hall in Harsaru village costing ₹1.90 crore, while Ward-4’s Wazirpur village will get a sewer network worth ₹3 crore. In Mewka village, ₹1.5 crore has been allocated for laying water and sewer lines.

In Ward-5, Kankraula village will undergo internal street and drainage development at a cost of ₹4.46 crore, along with an RCC shed worth ₹1.72 crore. Ward-6’s Bhangrola village will get a 3 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) costing ₹8.60 crore, along with renovation of a chopal near the stadium for ₹1 crore. A 1.5 MLD STP will also be set up in Jhunda Sarai village at a cost of ₹4.5 crore.

Further, in Ward-7, sewer lines will be laid in Bans Hariya, Dhana, and Bans Kusla villages at a cost of ₹3 crore. In Ward-17, Shikohpur village will witness major investments, including ₹5.70 crore for clean water storage, ₹6.50 crore for water pipelines, ₹9.50 crore for sewer infrastructure, and ₹1.72 crore for an RCC shed.

Additionally, Shikohpur will get a sports complex featuring a shooting range, badminton hall, and indoor facilities at a cost of ₹5.21 crore. Works worth ₹3.50 crore have been approved for repairing sewer manholes and filling potholes across both divisions, along with ₹3 crore for street lighting in the village.

Naurangpur village will see projects worth ₹2.66 crore for a boosting station and underground tank (UGT), ₹9.60 crore for a 3 MLD STP, and around ₹7 crore for sewer and water pipelines. Similarly, a 3 MLD STP will be constructed in Nainwal village at a cost of ₹9.35 crore.

In Kasan village, ₹9.53 crore will be spent on an STP near the lake, ₹5.93 crore on internal streets and water pipelines, and eight tube wells will be installed. Other major projects include a multipurpose hall in Badha village (₹5.91 crore), a community center in Fazilwas (₹9 crore), a multipurpose hall in Naurangpur (₹9.90 crore), a library and computer center in Sikanderpur (₹6.50 crore), road construction in Bar Gurjar village (₹2.14 crore), and sewer and RCC road works in Naharpur Kasan (₹9.11 crore).

The large-scale approvals underline the civic body’s focus on strengthening infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents across Manesar.
