Only 4 days left to pay property tax; 18% interest after March 31, Warns MCG

Gurugram: Property owners in the Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) area have just four days left to clear their pending property tax dues. The civic body has urged residents to complete their payments by March 31, 2026, failing which a steep 18% annual interest will be levied on outstanding amounts from the new financial year.

According to MCG officials, the deadline is fast approaching, and those who miss it will face additional financial burden due to the high interest rate. Authorities have also cautioned that strict action may be taken against defaulters, including sealing of properties and initiation of auction proceedings.

To make the process convenient, the Haryana government has provided both online and offline payment options. Property owners can pay their dues online through the official portal property.ulbharyana.gov.in by logging in with their registered mobile number and accessing their property ID.

For offline payments, citizens can visit MCG offices located in Sector 34, Sector 42, and Civil Lines, where tax can be deposited through Citizen Facilitation Centres.

MCG Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya has appealed to all property owners to avoid waiting until the last date and clear their dues promptly to escape penalties and enforcement action.
