Government focused on Gurugram’s development, Swift redressal of public grievances: CM

Gurugram: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday reiterated the state government’s strong commitment to Gurugram’s overall development and the prompt resolution of public grievances. He directed officers to carry out public-interest works with utmost priority, sensitivity, and responsibility, stressing that negligence at any level will not be tolerated.

Presiding over a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram, the Chief Minister said that every issue related to the district is being taken seriously and that effective, time-bound solutions are being ensured. He added that the government is continuously reviewing public grievances so that citizens receive timely relief and development projects continue without disruption.

A total of 17 complaints were taken up during the meeting. Of these, 12 were resolved on the spot by the Chief Minister, while five cases were kept pending for further action. He instructed the concerned departments to submit detailed status reports on the pending matters in the next committee meeting.

Taking cognizance of the poor condition of the road from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk in Sector-10A via Gadoli up to the Dwarka Expressway, CM Saini directed officials to make the stretch pothole-free within the next 24 hours. He also ordered the immediate removal of any encroachments on the road.

The Chief Minister clarified that irrespective of whether the road falls under HSIIDC, the Municipal Corporation, or GMDA, all damaged roads must be repaired and made fully motorable within one month as per rules.

In another major relief, the long-pending road obstruction issue in Sector-85 was resolved. Based on a committee report constituted earlier, the private land involved has been purchased by the builder, and demolition of old structures has begun.

A 24-metre-wide connecting road linking Sector-85 to Sector-86 main road and the Dwarka Expressway will be constructed within two weeks, benefiting around 7,000 residents and nearly 800 school students. RWA representatives expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his prompt and sensitive intervention.

Addressing the waterlogging problem in Surat Nagar Phase-1, CM Saini directed officials to resolve the issue within one month. He ordered restoration of proper drainage, installation of pumps where required, and strict monitoring of the work, warning of action against officers if deadlines are missed.
